The LORD is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call out to Him in truth. Psalm 145:18
Yes we should care for every human, including homosexuals. Thus the purpose of this post. If you really care for someone and see them slipping and sliding towards a trap or a place of suffering or even death, you would reach out a hand to pull them to safety. Or at least let them know where their path is leading them to, enabling them to make informed and wise decisions. Instead of glamorizing and promoting the LGBT lifestyle, lead the next generation to safety.
Even if you want a boat so much, you can't say that your Toyota Corolla, or Ford Fusion thinks it's a boat and drive it into a lake. If a dark-skinned African wanted so much to be a white man, and tried to turn into a white man, or a white man into an African man, people would agree that it's not a good idea or a wise use of time, money or one's life. If a man wanted so badly to become a lion, complete with real mane and fur, if we really cared for that man, we would tell him that "you are wonderful just the way you were born, you have such great potential and freedom being a human, turn away from this momentary desire or confusion of being a lion." Thus, why then would we want to confuse our children with something as basic as man and woman. We want truth not confusion and fallacy. Because truth sets you free. If you care for someone of the same gender, it is a good thing to care for others and neighbors, but don't turn something good into something immoral. You don't have to be a homosexual, bisexual or transsexual to care for people of either gender, you just have to be a friend. And a true friend does not drag others into the mud or to spiritual death and its consequences, a true friend seeks what is best and beneficial for others.
This post came about/triggered from a discussion about Star Trek Discovery (the series). It's such a well-made show, which I was mentioning. But somehow the friend I was chatting with through an app gave an example of another show he likes which has elements of homosexuality, when I didn't even mention anything about that. I then had to point out that the homosexual parts in Star Trek Discovery is what ruins such a good show. Yes we know people want to be understanding and inclusive and updated with the times and popular culture, but at such a big expense to our future generations. I'm not even able to recommend such a good show to relatives or people younger than I because of those snippets of a homosexual couple, to keep from leading immature people astray. We should have no part of these homosexual acts, just as we would avoid a garment infected with a contagious disease. We want our loved ones on the stable and sure path. Life already has enough problems as it is, why add more to it. Most Star Trek values are honorable and beneficial. But the promotion and glamorizing of homosexuality ruins it. It would really help if media and Hollywood would show stories about people who realized the error of those ways and turned from homosexuality and found a better life. We know life isn't perfect, but let's stop acting like homosexuality is OK, a good decision, even glamorous or something to be proud of, just like we once acted like smoking was OK. Be true to oneself, don't be a faker, call a bad decision what it is, and seek the path to real freedom, love and identity. Live a life of contentment and thankfulness, and you would be on the way to your purpose and true potential.
