Google became a great company because it filled needs, did it well and shared it with people. It gave out high capacity email storage through Gmail during the times when the usual email storage spaces were a fraction of what they offered. They were able to overtake Yahoo because their search results became more relevant, (and Yahoo's were mostly ads by that time back then.) Which is actually something Google needs to learn from, before they fill their search results with ads. Another example of Google's useful products is Google Maps to help us navigate unknown locations and not waste time and fuel/energy circling around or stuck in traffic.
Then there's Android OS shared with many different companies/manufacturers and developers and became a popular ecosystem. Even encouraging competition. These are just some of the myriad products and services that Google has produced and shared with everyone globally.
Speaking of competition, Google is not the only search engine around, there are so many other ones, and even other ones from other countries. It is quite unusual then that American states would try to make it hard for one of their own. True, because of what happened in the past, there is a reason for governments to enforce 'antitrust' policies. This is borne of fear that too-big organizations will oppress the smaller ones, or encroach on human rights. Then there is the after-effect of what happens when the too-big organizations fail. Temporary economic setbacks and service disruptions. Temporary because others will probably rise to fill in the gaps.
From the reasons above, we can see that there is actually nothing to fear from Google. If they do evil, they would probably fall. If they fall, others would rise to fill in the gaps.
Currently Google is doing a lot of things right, being beneficial to society and providing solutions to problems. They just need to keep on the right path. And we should refrain from throwing rocks when organizations are striving to do the right things.
